An Grianán Fort, also known as Grianán of Aileach, sits majestically atop a hill, overlooking the stunning landscape of Donegal. Its circular structure, made up of impressive stone walls, dates back to c. 1700BC and is believed to have been a ceremonial and royal site for the ruling Gaelic kings of the region.
